New race rules and new logistics at the UCI Enduro World Cup Val di Fassa Trentino – an event to enjoy first-hand

The UCI Enduro World Cup 2023 just got underway with the first two races taking place in the Southern Hemisphere – Tasmania, in fact – and it is now moving to Europe for the third and fourth rounds of the season: Finale Ligure (Italy) and Leogang (Austria). Finally, on 24 / 25 June, the whole of the EDR and E-EDR spectacle will reach Val di Fassa Trentino for the fifth round of the UCI Mountain Bike World Series.

Starting this season, the UCI has introduced new rules specific to Enduro competitions designed to foster tight racing, strewn with twists and turns, and to offer the spectators a show that is going to be more exciting than ever right from the first few meters of trail.

Add the new logistics of the Event Village – with team pits, expo area and start / finish more compact and accessible to the fans, the round in the Dolomites of Val di Fassa promises to be an event you can’t miss – and one that really deserves to be enjoyed first-hand.

Visitors will be greeted by a completely revised event logistics that goes from the Canazei town centre all the way along the Avisio river. A cycle and pedestrian path will connect the large car park areas located on the edge of town and will give all spectators the opportunity to reach on foot the heart of Event Village and team pits, busy with athletes, teams and tech support; the expo area with all of the companies, including all food&drink vendors; the pump track and much more.

The whole area will be within sight from the stage and from the finish line of the spectacular last Special Stage, which can be reached in a few minutes’ walk through the woods without going too far from timing monitors and commentator’s enthusiasm.

Thanks to the new rules just introduced for the World Series, the riders will race flat out right out of the gate on Stage 1. This is because racing will take place exclusively on one day (no more Pro Stages on Saturdays) and, above all, because each and every Special Stage will give extra points which will be added to those of the final result (until last year this was happening only for the Queen Stage).

And for spectators this means a lot of fun during every Special Stage. In addition, with lifts as fast as those in Val di Fassa, this also means being able to watch a lot of riders passing through, something almost impossible at most other venues.

Don’t forget: during the weekend both the amateur race, on Saturday 24th, and the Elite race on Sunday 25th, will take place and both events will have an e-bike category. Practice for both competitions, for all categories, is scheduled for Friday 23rd.

The Enduro of Val di Fassa Trentino race registrations open today, we are waiting for you in the Dolomites!
